If you are experiencing colony vigour while loaded with Varroa, you are very fortunate, and Randy should get your Varroa viruses sampled!
The only successfully TF beekeeper I know lives in a remote location where there is no drift from other bee colonies. As with the Isle of Mann, and Newfoundland, there is a "pre-contact" environment in which Varroa are not resident: just as in the old days when no one had to practice mite control...because there were none.
