The issue with Hopguard, is that it's not inexpensive.

If one is going to spend $5+ per hive on a single treatment, it better be effective.

If I'm going to spend $$$$ on a hive treating for mites, I'll go with Apivar.  Yes, it's absurdly expensive, but it's effective.
