Randy: Last August a new employee at a retirement village where I maintain 7 hives for the residents, sprayed Roundup directly on each hive including the entrance. He was spraying adjacent Crown Vetch. It killed the hives immediately and totally. I checked the sprayer and source bottle and it was purely Roundup with no surfactant added. Does density or amount sprayed make a difference? The base of the hives and the entrance of the hives were saturated.
