The Natural Areas Association presented a webinar on the subject last week.
9 of 19 reviewed studies suggested a negative impact.  We know also that
they share viruses as reported in Canada.

I think the issue deserves humble respect.  Beekeepers need not be so rude
by invading natural or preserved areas.  By definition, honey bees are
inappropriate in natural areas since they are stock animals and their range
can be controlled by discrete beekeepers.  

 

The studies referenced by the  NAA webinar could be reviewed for more
discussion.
