Randy: It didn't help when you
goaded me by telling me that I should read the paper rather than just
looking at the graphs, or when you tell me that queenless colonies don't
requeen after 90 days.
Here is a good case of misinterpretation. I was poking fun at myself, because I always look at the figures first. I read a LOT of science articles and that is the way I always begin, because after looking at the data I know which papers I don't want to bother further with (poor study, not on topic I care about, etc). I didn't mention your name there so I didn't expect you to take that comment personally...it wasn't about you. Regarding the 90 days comment, I was pointing out that the study was done in a climate where there is no time to observe queen laying behavior beyond 90 days....you thought they should have kept going with the study, and I said that was not possible.
I suggest that we develop nice thick skins and move along.
