Message from Over the Atlantic !
Hi to all,
We do not have - yet ! - *Apocephalus* in France, but no doubt we will do
in the future !
To illustrate with real specimens the (free) conferences I give, who can
provide me with some DEAD specimens of *A. borealis* (say a dozen,
preserved in the right fluid), to illustrate with real specimens my (free)
conferences about bee parasites in beekeepers associations in Normandie ?
Specimens to be mailed to :
Prof. J.J. Menier
c/o Dr A. NEL
Museum national d'histoire naturelle
Lab. Entomology,
45 rue Buffon
75005 PARIS
FRANCE.
No problems with the customs if the parcel bears a label : "Specimens for
scineitific studies".
Many thanks in advance for help.
Many years ago one of you mailed to me specimens of *Aethina tumida* from
Florida. *A. tumida* will be soon in France as it is now very common in
southern Italy, and moving northward every month (in bee hives, but also in
dried prunes and fruits).
I am a former head of Coleoptera Dept of the MNHN, retired now in green and
rainy Normandie, fighting *Varroa* !

Sincerely,
Jean J. Menier
