Folks,

The Museum of Underwater Archaeology (MUA) is proud to announce the
creation of the CSS Georgia Project Digital Archive. Scuttled in 1864 in
the Savannah River the Civil War vessel has been the subject of
archaeological and archival research since 1979 and intensively so over
the past ten years. In partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
and site investigators, the MUA has created a digital archive to house a
collection of videos, newspaper articles, reports, photographs, and
PowerPoint presentations detailing the research and public outreach
efforts by the numerous organizations involved in the project.

This will be an ongoing effort that will expand as new materials are
created. In addition the MUA will use this collection to create an online
CSS Georgia Project museum exhibit.

We invite you to visit this initial phase of the collection containing
over sixty items and return often to see the latest entries.

You can view the collection by clicking on the link on the MUA home page
at http://www.themua.org

Best regards,

T. Kurt Knoerl Ph.D., R.P.A.
