After aging for a short while as beebread, consuming the sub changed the gut biota of the bees for the worse.

How would that apply to the observation of winter bees having the gut full?( as opposed to bee bread)
The hypothesis here is that we are now out of pollen and nectar, but 4-5 hours a day of fair flying weather, it has been assumed that any proteins or calories (were feeding syrup in hive hard) would be beneficial. So if you will, open dry feeding to keep them busy.
