I cannot speak for Randy, but the temps he mentions are the day time temps
for feeding here in Maine which go above 50 in late March or early April.
So the month does not matter, the day time temps do. Some here set the
syrup feeding temps in the 52-55 range. If we had to wait until night time
temps were above 50 we couldn't feed until mid June!
