Hello All:

I have a mystery object from a Kansas site, 14MO701, a store that was burned, along with its contents, on July 3rd, 1862. The artifact was excavated in 1973 and traveled Tennessee before being donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1993. It has been boxed since then. The artifact has a green cast in addition to some rust globules and charcoal that have attached to the piece. The artifact can be viewed at: https://www.kansasmemory.org/item/505327 Has anyone seen something like this before?

Thank you for your time.

Chris Garst
