Ivor Noel Hume from 1957 on was a key figure in American historical archaeology. His autobiography - A PASSION FOR THE PAST: THE ODYSSEY OF A TRANSATLANTIC ARCHAEOLOGIST (2010) - is a gem and should be read by everyone in the field. He got the JC Harrington Medal in 1991. We should get some images of him for "Images of the Past" run by Benjamin Pykles in the SHA Newsletter.
