Paul, we have been doing residue analysis on the Market Street Chinatown
Archaeology Project, on glass vessels and glazed ceramics.

The ceramic study is published as a technical report (#4) and is available
on our project website: http://marketstreet.stanford.edu

The glass residue analysis is still underway, but I will forward your email
to the chemist who is leading that study and see if he has any information
he can share with you at this point.

Thanks,

--Barb

Subject: Residue analysis on bottles and gallipots

I'm looking for information on conducting residue analysis on bottles and/or
gallipots or similar glazed vessels.

Any information on case studies, or suggestions for possible labs or
analysts, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...
