This is not accurate. The condition may have cleared up on its own.

I wish I had a dollar for each time I heard a beekeeper say: "I did such and such and it seemed to work." 

In fact, this spring a large scale beekeeper was telling everybody he used probiotics and now he has the best bees in years. 

Well, I didn't use them, and I have the best bees I have had in years.
