I was just reading that "sphagnum moss is naturally anti-fungal" and that's why seeds prone to developing mold are often germinated along with a mixture containing this moss. I wonder if anyone has researched the potential for a beekeeping application. Perhaps a potential future treatment/therapy for dysentery or nosema cerenae in the hive? Further, I wonder if the people using hives with eco floors have explored this as an additive to their mix. I imagine there are several elements in nature that boast anti-fungal properties. But it can't hurt to keep searching for that next solution to a beekeeping problem, eh?
