Full-time, Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Archaeology

The Department of Anthropology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Archaeology with a target start date of August 16, 2020.

Geographic area of research is North America. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated interest in Indigenous archaeology and a commitment to collaborative research, ethics, and understanding of the principles of NAGPRA (Native American Graves and Repatriation Act), as well as an interest in organizing summer field schools. Candidates will be expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, establish and maintain an active and independent archaeological research program, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession.
