The Tennessee Division of Archaeology is pleased to announce the Tennessee Department of Human Resources website will begin accepting applications for an Archaeologist 2 position on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. The application period will be open for two weeks.
This is a full-time, preferred service position with benefits that will be based in Nashville. Starting annual salary will be $34,896 ($2908/month). The starting salary could potentially increase based on education and experience.
This Site File Curator position will perform a variety of tasks that include: data management using ArcGIS, data entry, processing site forms and assigning site numbers, Division site information and report file maintenance, and assisting our external and internal customers with site information requests.
The preferred candidate will have GIS proficiency, as well as experience in southeastern US archaeology (prehistoric or historic). In addition, the preferred candidate should possess good organization, time management, and people skills.
