posted a minute agoFeb 23, 2017, 7:42 AM by Paloma Bolasny
The National Park Service, in partnership with the National Council for Preservation Education, is announcing their historic preservation internships for summer 2017. The program is designed to allow students in historic preservation programs and allied disciplines (history, archeology, museum studies, etc.) to gain an awareness of National Park Service cultural resource management activities and to provide an opportunity to work alongside professionals in the field of historic preservation. A variety of positions in preservation and related fields are being offered across the Service and partnering agencies.
Please share with any students you think might be interested. The information is also available on the websites of the National Park Service at www.nps.gov/tps/education/internships.htm and the National Council at www.preservenet.cornell.edu/employ/ncpe.php . A downloadable application is available from each site as well. The deadline for applications is March 13, 2017.
Please note that recent graduates (degree received August 2016 or later) are eligible for the program, as well as those currently enrolled in a relevant academic program. If you know of any current students or recent graduates that might be eligible for this opportunity, or organizations that could reach them, please pass the notice along to them.
Please contact [log in to unmask] with any questions.
