Hello all

The Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology (Europe's leading society for the study and promotion of historical archaeology, from c.1500 to the present day) was founded in 1966, and will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year with a special congress at Sheffield University, UK on Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd April 2016.

The programme is online and available here:  http://www.spma.org.uk/events/conference2016/ where you can also book your place at the conference - £45 for young members (full-time students or under 25), £60 for ordinary members and £90 for non-members, including lunches, refreshments, and the 50th anniversary reception at the Cutlers’ Hall. There is also an optional fieldtrip to Hardwick Old Hall, Bolsover Castle, and Sutton Scarsdale Hall, and a conference party at Sheffield's Stancill Brewery.

Not yet a member of SPMA? You can find out more about joining here: http://www.spma.org.uk/membership/
