Doesn't really explain what we are seeing right now in the Northeast. Many beekeepers, none of whom has any connection to large scale migratory beekeeping, are seeing unprecedented losses. Most of the losses occurred in late fall, though they are continuing. For my part, the loss at my home yard, which is pretty isolated, is 85%. Others report similar figures.
