Are you including any actually sampling or just trying to locate the source?? Rural and urban areas will confound the problem.
Sampling in itself is the key Understanding RT and how the bees break down the toxin is the key to identifying it quickly. Samples need to be Frozen quickly to preserve the contamination.
IE I get a case or two every season in my hives close to town. Old Eleanor sprays her rose bushes and half her lawn with Sevin dust. One or two hives will lose some.
