I have to ask how states like CA can try to impose laws that prohibit collecting of insects but allow wide-scale, indiscriminate, complete destruction or obliteration of 'pest' insects.
Digging around, I found papers on: Where is the intersection of ethics, morals and standards for professional conduct? The best answer for ethics and morals that I found was by Cydney Grannan: "Ultimately, the distinction between the two is as substantial as a line drawn in the sand."
