Ah, finally, someone who appreciates the digital life as it existed before
the GUI-only applications! Emacs, baby, you can do anything in Emacs,
including email and format it any way you want in any language you want
with 100% control he says, only half joking. I went through deep
depression when I was forced to switch to Outlook at work years ago, :-(
Its never ending email threads are insane, but people somehow got used to
it.
I'm afraid that we might simply need to get used to it here as well. Doing
true format editing on a smart phone is an exercise for the masochists and
all the tablets are not much easier. Price of progress, if it's worth
giving back the moderator all the accumulated minutes he spends either
rejecting or stripping the excess quotes from submissions.
