Flea beetles jump when disturbed and I saw that it is possible to control them on rocket by waving a sticky board over the plants.  The beetles jump and stick to the board.

Perhaps putting a line of sticky boards on the booms of a crop sprayer might be just as effective as using it to spray insecticide.
