I don't think anyone doubts that there are distinct subspecies or races of bees nor that they have specific attributes. The question is whether such a process is still going on or has been sidetracked by modern beekeeping with its intermingling of types and lack of direction. And regarding genomic analysis, I have yet to see clear examples of its usefulness to apiculture.
