No double speak is intended. Let me try and express myself more precisely
this time.
Bees cluster in the cells head first. Finding dead bees this way only means
with certainty that they died while clustered.
Could the death of that colony have been from starvation? Yes.
Could it have been from another cause? Yes.
Head down bees /can/ be a indication that starvation happened, but
starvation is /not necessarily/ the cause of death every time you find bees
dead that way.
