First of all I am the Juanse Barros that Randy mention twice in his recent
ABJ new oxalic treatment article Beyond Tactik. Thanks mate for mentioning
me and Fernando Esteban who was the first to mention that treatment at Bee-L
I have written a bunch of post in my blog under the label "monoxalate"
starting on may 2015 when I started to try this new treatment.
Now, Randy and some others in bee-l have wonder about eventual resistance
from Varroa to oxalic. I do not have a clue of what might happen in the
future, I love nature that is always surprising.
However if what beekeeper Gerhad BrĂ¼ning is true
A beekeeper I know, Gerhard BrĂ¼ning, made some impressive pictures of the
mites after an oxalic acid treatment: His description in German:

then logic dictated that varroa should mutate or evolve closing that open
channel in his legs as a way to resist oxalic treatment and if it does so
then will be a less aggressive parasite.
I believe we all win.
What do you think?
