Dave Cushman was a good friend of mine but we never discussed ley lines. I think the article was written by Roger Patterson who took over Dave's site after his death. I recommend the site as the most informative there is!
There is a ley line passing through my village about 14 miles long (I haven't looked further but might have a go using the Seeley bee hunting box I've made). By stretching a thick piece of string over a small scale map it covers the location of many feral colonies mainly in old houses, churches and a few trees. The line is (from memory) about where the magnetic North - South line was about 70 years ago which is how long I know one of the sites has been occupied.
