Looking into the archives, I find myself writing back in 2001: "A beekeeper once told me not to "abuse your prerogatives."
He said this in the context of transporting queen cells. In other words, there are some things you may get away with but that doesn't mean that they are good practices.
Queen cells should not be moved until they are very near to emergence. If they are that close to hatching, putting them in a nuc for 24 hours won't work, because they'll hatch and wreck the unhatched cells.
