To the extent that a beekeeper can enjoy such predation- I did! Assuming that mite is dead, you might be able to lift the sternite and see how the mite penetrated- not that it matters much but it's interesting. The work of evolution is evident in their slightly convexed shape which allows them to fit perfectly in that position. The photo also illustrates how that position makes grooming them off somewhat difficult once attached.
