more time on BEE-L today than I would have spent responding to the BIP
survey, though I hear it is getting quite lengthy.

A few other words about BIP. I am starting to suffer from survey
overload: BIP, Catskill Mountain Bee Statastician, Bee Wellness, USDA, NYS
Ag and Markets, to name a few, and I head rumor there are more to come!
The more I receive, the less I am inclined to respond."

BIP says it should take about 30 minutes to fill out the survey.

What NYS Ag&Mkts Survey are you referring to? I don't recall one.

The main thing we hear from BIP is the percentage of loss, isn't it? That's what the popular media gloms onto. I guess it gives an indication, over time, what the loss trend is like. But I question its value to everyday beekeeping. I guess, if I knew what my Winterloss was, comparing my numbers to the overall could tell me something.
