We've recently reviewed 19 proposals to PAm (Project Apism), several of
which (some with major tweaking in response to my suggestions) look pretty
good. And at the Calif. State research funding meeting, we got 6
proposals, which to our great surprise, all looked pretty good.
There is plenty of important work to be covered. We are in the process of
reorganizing how PAm funds research, which I hope will make for much
better-directed bee research.
In the past few years, I've worked with a number of bee researchers in
getting them funding for research that I felt was worthwhile, or that
suggested and helped write proposals that then got funded.
If any on the list have important beekeeping/pollination/honey
production/nutrition/mite management/or other practical questions that they
feel that a well-designed research project might be able to answer, feel
free to forward them to me off list (short and sweet please). I'm putting
together a list for PAm.
