I generally take my share of honey from my top bar hives in the Spring, when the willows and dandelions are starting to flower, knowing that the honey is truly surplus to their requirements and, as I haven't fed them, isn't partially recycled sugar. Much of the honey is pretty enough to be sold as comb honey. If I dose my top bar hives with oxalic acid vapour in the winter will there be a deposit on the comb surface about 3 months later? If so, would it be dangerous to customers?
