The first time I saw it was in the Park/Wooten outfits, back in 1982. They had thousands upon thousands of hives. Here in NY state, I worked as a bee inspector and saw about half the commercial beekeepers used one brood box and queen excluders. The rest either did two boxes and excluder, or no excluders. What is silly is when people make claims they can't back up, but expect everyone to believe them, just because.
