> Bill, Does that add up to 9-10 total with no observed ill effect?
8-9 (1,1(opt),3,3,1)
Perspective- If I was still using formic pads (65%) it would be 1 spring, 3
in July-August, and if I had the same mite invasion as the last two years,
3 more in October. and formic is harder on bees than the oxalic. The OA
vapor is much easier and less harmful.
We have a commercial beekeeper in Maine who has run trials on all the
treatments and OAV by far is the best for controlling Varroa and does the
least harm to the bees. Without neighbors, I would probably be back to one
in the spring and 3(x5) in July/August and one about Thanksgiving, or 5
treatments.
