Hi Lawrence,

I've been told that oxalic acid vaporization is not as effective when it's 37 F or less. Having said that I did this treatment to a number of hives in November when it was 35F and noticed very good mite drops when checked the inspections boards 3 days later. The treatment also "woke" the bees up. I could hear the bees standing few feet away from the hives. A few of the hives have BroodMinders installed and the data from them showed that the temperature spiked at treatment and stayed elevated for a few hours beforeĀ  dropping to the comparable pre-treatment readings.
