Right, as Seeley wrote in 1982:
It is now clear that there are 5 female
castes in a honeybee colony: the queen (reproductive
caste) plus 4 age subcastes among the workers
(cell cleaning caste, broodnest caste, food storage
caste, and forager caste).
Actually, the caste structure was essentially revealed in
1953 by Sakagami's study of honeybee age polyethism
