<When Barbara and I moved to NY from OH we rented a Ryder Panel Van. There was a door between the cab and the container, which had a roll up overhead door. If you had one of those you could have the roll up door propped open and tied down and the communication door open for ventilation. >
That's what I found in FL, couldn't find the same with the pass through up here in MT. I never opened the roll up if I had the pass through - you can hear the bees, if they get hot, they'll roar. Take a small mister bottle of pump up garden sprayer with water. As the driver with a pass through door open, I'd rely on air conditioner and/or cab windows open if you need more air - having the roll up propped up could bring exhaust back into the cab - and we might be looking for a new moderator.
I have done the prop up door when there was no pass through. I much preferred the box trucks with the pass through - easy to hear and see how the bees are doing - take corrective action if needed.
