I moved the same hives about 3/4 of a mile away and they settled down almost immediately.  The large diesel pump did make a definitive thump thump sound.

             I regularly put lots of hives near oil field equipment,  many of the 208's run  and make a lot of noise including irregular pop offs.  Never notice an issue with bees.
