Ms. Barnes, 

   This is a great idea. I won’t get to Portugal but maybe at another place and time.

Louisiana has lots of possibilities. Ray Brassieur  at ULL (retired) might be interested.

Ask your guys about bank seines please. I would really be interested in the use of those 

over there. My fieldwork here on the Black River  has led to some neat site data on

bank seining. 

      Please contact Maida Owen re: coastal  Folklife here.  Louisiana Office of Folklife.Good luck with your symposium. I think you can mount some interest here

along the Lower Mississippi and adjacent Gilf Coast maybe not this time, but soon.
