Civic pride is frequently cited as a reason for a community wanting to keep
or acquire a major league sports team. I don't know in the analytics of
determining whether a community is going to keep its team, or another
community is going to acquire it, if the assessors have realistically
measured civic pride, but if anyone has tried such a value, I image it's
the sports world. I don't know if you will find something there that could
be adapted for historical buildings/structures or not.

Just what you need, a suggestions of another body of data to explore.

I look forward to learning if you find a way to in part quantify the value
of civic pride.
