I am hoping someone on here might have an idea about the artifact shown in
the photos on the attached dropbox link. It comes from a historic site in
North Texas that dates from the late 19th century to the 1930s or 1940s.
There is debate currently in the office as to whether it is porcelain or
carved stone like marble. The artifact does appear to have a seam running
along the sides and top, and has the roman numeral VII on it. First thought
is some kind of gaming piece, but not really sure. Any input or thoughts on
it are most appreciated. Thanks.
