Hello all,

Dr. Skinner asked that I post the following to see if anyone has any
thoughts on this site we are working on. The sketch map in the attached
dropbox link shows the features we have mapped and we think the site was a
cotton gin, but want to see if anyone has any thoughts on it. The motor
mounts are brick with a combination of GLOBE and CRUSH bricks. Globe was
started in Ellis County, Texas in 1905, and we are still looking for info
on the Crush bricks. If you have any thoughts or have any other literature
on Gins we would love to talk with you, you can email me off list. Thanks
in advance for any help.

I think that the entire area must have been inside the building but have no
idea why they would be at separate levels with slabs being a foot and a
half higher than the ground surrounding the motor mounts and the brick
foundation.
