Employment Opportunity, Archaeology Field Assistant
 
Several full-time permanent positions are available with the
Missouri Highway and Transportation Department's Environmental/
Cultural Resources Section.  Minimal requirements include a
bachelor's degree in anthropology or related field and one
season of archaeological field experience.  Duties include
conducting background research for archaeological studies,
assisting with Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III archaeological
investigations, preparation and analysis of artifacts, and
preparation of reports related to proposed highway projects as
governed by federal and state legislation and regulations.
All applicants will be required to send vita/resume,
references, and an official copy of transcripts.  Drug testing
and a physical examination are mandatory before hiring.  All
applications must be recieved by 4:00 pm, Monday May 1, 1995
to be eligible.  Start date is June 1, 1995.  Salary range is
from $2020-$2721 per month, based on experience.
