Where I buy my wooden supers - in Western Canada - they have 7/8"
thickness. The inside of the supers are standard Langstroth dimensions.
The out side dimension is bigger.  They hold 10 frames nicely as expected.
This larger outside dimension can lead to problems with tight fitting
migratory tops but not usually a worry with telescoping tops. They may hang
over a bit on the sides of the bottom boards (1/8th on each side but could
be considered a drip edge) and shortens the landing board up to a  1/4 ".
