This is a comment on the thread " Recommended Books for Wintertime
Beekeeper Reading"
I would doubt that our 1948 edition of _The ABC_ or our 1870 edition of
_The Hive and the Honey BEE_ or the 1917 edition of _The Mason Bees_ and
more would still be around if they were printed in soft cover or paperback.
My comment is that if a book is worth keeping then it is worth producing
and purchasing in HARDCOVER!
I have mentioned this in the past to Kim Flottum and Larry Connor in
passing.
If a Classic is worth reprinting then it should be available in hard cover.
And if you think that your new book is worth its salt and is to be read and
used and maybe become a classic, have it also printed in a hardcover
edition.
This is my issue with the current generation of new and reprints.
