We may have something like what you're looking for from work that's been
done out here in the Mariana Islands. Plenty of projects that have dealt
with both the Japanese defenses as well as the later US bases built on the
islands.
Unfortunately, little is digitized, but our catalog of reports is available
online: https://cnmihpo.librarika.com/search. So, if you were to find
something in there that seems like what you're looking for, we might be
able to digitize it for you. If you could be a bit more specific about what
type of project you're looking for research designs for, I might have an
idea of projects that could fit the bill. We were just hit by a super
typhoon though, so I might be slow in getting back to you, as we are not
working out of our office where the reports are stored at the moment.
