Folks,
Iım trying to help out a fellow whose researching a Poor House/Farm in
Fairfield County, SC. I was curious if there has been any archaeology at any
of these in non-urban settings. Also, was wondering if anyone knows of
published historical research on the establishment and operation of these
facilities? Would like to direct him to a few publications, if there are any
out there.
Iıve had a local historian point him to some county records that would
probably be helpful, but was hoping that there was a larger context out
there that has been written.
Thanks!
