The SHA Newsletter currently has two openings for volunteer Current Research Coordinators in Canada.
The two regions needing coverage are:
1) Canada - Ontario
2) Canada - Arctic (i.e. Yukon, the NWT, & Nunavut)
Current Research Coordinators serve as a contact point for contributions to the Current Research section of the Newsletter on a quarterly basis; they are also very welcome to actively solicit contributions prior to the quarterly submission deadline. Current Research Coordinators also automatically sit on the advisory committee supporting the SHA Newsletter and Website editors.
I am not necessarily expecting that the Arctic region coordinator should be living in one of the three Territories; I realise that may be unrealistic (if you live in Yellowknife and you're really keen, fantastic - but I'm not going to insist). It would be a significant advantage, however, to be active in or otherwise directly connected to current historical archaeology research in the Canadian Arctic.
I would expect the Ontario coordinator to be based in Ontario.
Graduate students are welcome to apply.
If interested, or if you otherwise have questions, please e-mail me at the following address: [log in to unmask]
