Dear colleague and friend,
Please find enclosed issue 26 of EXPRESSION quarterly journal. It
includes articles about “The role of women in prehistoric and tribal
societies”. More contributions are expected on the same
topic, which may appear in forthcoming issues. The theme awakened the
interest of colleagues who announced articles. Strangely enough,
contrarily to what expected, most of the proposed articles on the role
of women come from male colleagues rather than from females. It seems
to be a positive signal; however, we would like to encourage female
authors to join this search for the position of women in non-literate
societies.
As announced in the Discussion Forum of this issue, colleagues and friends
are cordially invited to contribute to the new topics planned
for upcoming issues: “Defining the identity of Homo sapiens”, and “On
the diffusion of culture”. Both are stimulating and provocative
topics, facing problems of identity and
human relations present today as yesterday in most societies and
countries of the world.
In the Notes and News of this issue you will find also the first
announcement on the session on “The Intellectual and Spiritual
Expressions of Non-literate Peoples”, planned by the CISENP
International Commission at the world Congress of UISPP in Morocco, in
September 2020. Potential participants are invited to reply to this
call and start thinking about their papers. It is going to be a good
gathering worth of attending and meeting colleagues and friends.
Current archeology and prehistory are studying the effects of culture
that survived the proof of time. EXPRESSION quarterly journal on
Conceptual Anthropology has set a new orientation in the study of man,
beyond the effects, focusing on the causes of effects, on the
motivations that activated man to reach his achievements, looking into
the soul of people and of society. Over 200 authors have already
contributed to EXPRESSION, offering to the readers their knowledge and
experience. Others will join.
The pages of EXPRESSION are open to new viewpoints and welcome useful,
innovative and sound papers, for sharing knowledge, opinions and concepts.
Do not hesitate to contact [log in to unmask], proposing articles
or comments.
Do let us hear from you.
Best wishes for the coming festivities and for a happy and creative New Year.
Cordially,
Emmanuel Anati
(General editor of EXPRESSION)
