To me, that's a little like saying "language is a system of vocalizations that human beings use to communicate with each other." Not exactly wrong, but it sure leaves an awful lot out.
By the way, the series "In the Light of Evolution" is now in its tenth volume. I guess there's a lot more to evolution than what's in wikipedia. Surprise!
